Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is an American chef television personality as well as a former teacher in the Institute of Culinary Education. She's the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature sparkling blonde locks, and her bubbly up appearance, offers simple techniques that anyone can be able to master. Chef Burrell was employed at some of the most prestigious New York restaurants and studied Italian cuisine and surroundings. In addition, she appeared in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in the Upstate New York area, Chef Burrell was able to discover a love of cooking and food at a young age. The Culinary Institute of America was a natural next step for her after she graduated with the Bachelor of Arts degree in English as well as Communications from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a wonderful experience for me. It was difficult to master enough and I could not perform enough or work hard enough. When I graduated, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) and attended Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. In her time in Italy she was able to fully appreciate and understand the principles of Italian cuisine and its culture, which created a lasting impact on her food viewpoint. Burrell is an ambassador for the celebrity chef for the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which aids kids who have challenges. In her capacity as a speaker, Burrell goes on a tour across the United States to talk about her love of cuisine and to promote her professional career as a chef. Through her culinary adventures, Anne often says that she feels very fortunate to share what I love most to others.
