Jillian Noel Hennessy
Jillian Noel Hennessy (19 November 1975) is a Canadian singer and actor. She is most known for her roles in the American television series Law & Order, on which she played the prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons, and Crossing Jordan, on which she was the main character, Jordan Cavanaugh, for six seasons. She has also been an actress in films such as RoboCop 3: Most Wanted as well as the independent films Chutney Popcorn (which she also co-directed) and The Acting Class (which was written by her). Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, John's father was a meat and marketing sales and marketing executive. The position required significant traveling and the family was required to relocate frequently. The mother of her child, Maxine, a secretary, left the family in 1982 and left her daughter to be taken care of by her paternal grandmother Eleanor who lives located in Kitchener, Ontario. Her younger brother named John Paul "J.P." Hennessy, Jr., and an identical twin sister named Jacqueline She is a magazine writer and TV host in Canada. Hennessy is of Irish and French, Swedish, Italian and Swedish heritage from her father, and most of her Ukrainian Roma and Austrian heritage from her mother. She attended Stanley Park Senior Public School and graduated from Grand River Collegiate Institute, both in Kitchener, Ontario, and used to busk in the Toronto subway. Hennessy was the younger sister of her brother. They made their debut on stage in 1988 as twin call-girls in Dead Ringers. According to Gillian Anderson (the actress who played the part) she was a finalist for Dana Scully's role on The X-Files. In 1993, Hennessy was signed by Dick Wolf as Claire Kincaid, assistant district attorney in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. The role lasted three seasons. The show ended following the year 1996.
